We have started talking about etiquette and being polite. Specifically, are there certain "rules" that should be followed when on public transportation to not disturb other passengers? First, lets talk about your own country. Are there "rules" of etiquette that people should follow when using public transportation? Are these "rules" the same or different from etiquette "rules"when using public transportation in Canada? How do people "learn" these etiquette "rules" in their own countries? How do people learn etiquette "rules" when they are in another country (abroad)?

We have been speaking at great lengths about crime, punishments, the idea of "justice", and the relationship of these to our own countries and cultures. I would like for you to think about our discussions and then choose ONE of the following topics to respond to.
Topic One:
Have you ever been the victim of a crime? In 2 or 3 paragraphs, describe the crime. Describe where it happened, what time of day it was, and what each person involved was doing before the crime. What happened to you after the crime? What happened to the offender? Do you think the traditional justice system worked well in that case?
Topic Two:
Restorative justice offers victims the chance to forgive the offender. Do you think every victim can or should forgive the crime/criminal? Why or why not? Please add a description (in your own words) about what Restorative justice means to you.

Hello RW2B!
I just realized that I forgot to post an assignment on the blog last week!!!!!! Oh my goodness! How did this happen? Sincere apologies to those students who were eagerly waiting to blog. Therefore, this week we will do 2 blog posts :) YAY. Don't worry, you have an entire class period to work on your 2 new posts and make at least 4 comments on OTHER peoples blogs.
Here is your assignment for your third post......
I want you to practice using descriptive adjectives and the past tense! Please write a paragraph OR two describing (in detail) what you did for the 4 day weekend that just passed. Where did you go? What did you do? How did you feel? Why did you participate in that activity? etc.
Here are some pictures of what Genki, Wasabi, and I did over the weekend.

Genki played on her cat tower for many hours. She loves her tower very much.
Genki and Wasabi played together on the cat tower for many hours. Genki sometimes lets Wasabi play on the tower, if she is being nice.
Genki helped me mark all of my students wonderful assignments, journals, and tests. She loves learning English grammar and her favourite thing to do is write short stories about her daily life.
I ate some taco rice, which is a special dish that people make in Okinawa. It was so delicious!

Hello everyone!
We have been talking a lot about money in class recently. For your next post, I would like for you to discuss the costs of different items in your country compared to the same items in Canada. Use comparative adjectives to display any differences or similarities.
Think about how much items in a grocery store are, the cost of gas, accommodations, transportation, etc.
Try to include something more with your post, like a picture or video.
Have fun!
